Yoga Retreat
By day, the remote location offers complete tranquility, void of city noise and by night the clear sky allows you to see millions of stars that are not extinguished by city lights.
The communal area by the pool offers those on a yoga retreat to be together while having their own personal space. And of course, people can cool down from the dry heat in the pool.
The Auberge can hold luxury yoga retreats for 4-10 people.
If you are a teacher that wants to arrange a retreat, please contact us.

For the Foodies
French food is not simply something from the supermarket.
It is something lovingly grown and carefully chosen according to its qualities and its origins. The food found in restaurants in France is heavily influenced by the produce that is readily available in that region.
In the Southwest of France the emphasis is on rich foods. The main specialities are duck, foie gras, prunes and figs, oysters, mushrooms and truffles. And of course a nice rich red Bordeaux wine to go with it. Confit de canard, foie gras, chevre chaud salad and pruneaux d'Agen are local specialities.
The list of local cheeses is extraordinary.
Basque and Spanish tastes have influenced the food of all of Southern France. Peppers, spicy sausage and tomatoes are easily and widely available. Cassoulet is probably the most renowned dish in the region. In addition to the wide range of delicious sausages available, the renowned Bayonne ham is from this region.
We arrange tours around the local produce markets and according to the seasons. For example, two of France’s largest and most successful truffle markets are within a 30 minute drive of the Auberge.
We can also arrange to cooking lessons dedicated to your group and for what is locally available and in season.
Weddings & Special Events
The substantial open space within the garden, combined with the grandiose property and its extensive facilities, makes the Auberge de Castanet the ideal French country setting for relaxing retreats, intimate weddings, barbecues and other special celebrations.
Events can be coordinated by professional outside caterers who have the world-class expertise to prepare a sumptuous feast.
We can also arrange for the coordination of decorations, flowers, lighting, sound systems and entertainment.
